How Weeds are Managed with Nature's Feed

  1. Nature's Feed is not a chemical and does not manage weeds in the same manner. Nature's Feed is a protein by-product extracted from the sugar beet. Nature's Feed is sticky and has a slight molasses odor. Faster and more effective results are achieved at different rates and frequency of application.

  2. Nature's Feed works by stimulating the photosynthesis process causing the plant to produce more oxygen than the cells can release. This ruptures the cell walls and makes the weed leaves shrink over time. This process can take days, weeks, or months based on the age of the weed and the weather conditions. The weeds must have ample sunlight and water to successfully process the product.

  3. Nature's Feed can be applied in light rain. If watered with city water within five hours of application, effectiveness may be diminished. Best times to water are one day before or one day after application.

  4. If the problem is Creeping Charlie, we must apply three treatments over an approximate three-week timetable. Lime treatments can be used to raise soil pH and create a less favorable environment for weeds to grow.

  5. Dandelions will show damage to the leaf structure. The damage is shown by a reduction in leaf size, browning and/or purple discoloration of the leaf. The stem and flower will not be visually affected. The seeds are generally sterile and not a major concern.

  6. Clover and other small leafed plants will turn brown and/or white depending on temperature, soil moisture, and sunlight. Multiple treatments are required for proper effectiveness.

Nature's Feed is used as a feed supplement in animal feeds as well as in nutraceutical products for human consumption.
